14 I write not these things to shame you, but to admonish you as my beloved children.
as ye know how we `dealt with' each one of you, as a father with his own children, exhorting you, and encouraging `you', and testifying,
For though ye have ten thousand tutors in Christ, yet `have ye' not many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I begat you through the gospel.
Wherefore watch ye, remembering that by the space of three years I ceased not to admonish every one night and day with tears.
I say `this' to move you to shame. What, cannot there be `found' among you one wise man who shall be able to decide between his brethren,
Awake to soberness righteously, and sin not; for some have no knowledge of God: I speak `this' to move you to shame.
Our mouth is open unto you, O Corinthians, our heart is enlarged. Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own affections. Now for a recompense in like kind (I speak as unto `my' children), be ye also enlarged.
Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth.
Behold, this is the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be a burden to you: for I seek not yours, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children. And I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more abundantly, am I loved the less?
whom we proclaim, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ;
And we exhort you, brethren, admonish the disorderly, encourage the fainthearted, support the weak, be longsuffering toward all.
