2 I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; Show me wherefore thou contendest with me.
If thou wouldest seek diligently unto God, And make thy supplication to the Almighty; If thou wert pure and upright: Surely now he would awake for thee, And make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
For hath any said unto God, I have borne `chastisement', I will not offend `any more': That which I see not teach thou me: If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more?
O Jehovah, rebuke me not in thine anger, Neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah; for I am withered away: O Jehovah, heal me; for my bones are troubled. My soul also is sore troubled: And thou, O Jehovah, how long? Return, O Jehovah, deliver my soul: Save me for thy lovingkindness' sake.

I am faint and sore bruised: I have groaned by reason of the disquietness of my heart.
