1 <A Psalm. Of David.> Lord, I have made my cry to you; come to me quickly; give ear to my voice, when it goes up to you.
But I am poor and in need; come to me quickly, O God; you are my help and my saviour; let there be no waiting, O Lord.
Be pleased, O Lord, to take me out of danger; O Lord, come quickly and give me help.
Do not be far from me, O Lord: O my strength, come quickly to my help.
Let not your face be covered from your servant, for I am in trouble; quickly give me an answer. Come near to my soul, for its salvation: be my saviour, because of those who are against me.

Ps 141:1-10. This Psalm evinces its authorship as the preceding, by its structure and the character of its contents. It is a prayer for deliverance from sins to which affliction tempted him, and from the enemies who caused it.
