16 And if a man seduce a virgin that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall certainly endow her, to be his wife.
If a man find a damsel, a virgin, who is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found, then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty [shekels] of silver, and she shall be his wife, because he hath humbled her; he may not put her away all his days.
And when Shechem, the son of Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and humbled her. And his soul fastened on Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the maiden, and spoke consolingly to the maiden. And Shechem spoke to his father Hamor, saying, Take me this girl as wife.
