13 And by a prophet Jehovah brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.
And all the children of Israel did as Jehovah had commanded Moses and Aaron; so did they. And it came to pass on that same day, [that] Jehovah brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt according to their hosts.
But he remembered the days of old, Moses [and] his people: Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he that put his holy Spirit within him, his glorious arm leading them by the right hand of Moses, dividing the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name, -- who led them through the depths, like a horse in the wilderness, [and] they stumbled not? As cattle go down into the valley, the Spirit of Jehovah gave them rest; so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name.
Moses indeed said, A prophet shall [the] Lord your God raise up to you out of your brethren like me: him shall ye hear in everything whatsoever he shall say to you. And it shall be that whatsoever soul shall not hear that prophet shall be destroyed from among the people.
Yet I [am] Jehovah thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou hast known no God but me; and there is no saviour besides me. I knew thee in the wilderness, in the land of drought.
And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, ye children of Israel? saith Jehovah. And ye gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.
This Moses, whom they refused, saying, Who made thee ruler and judge? him did God send [to be] a ruler and deliverer with the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush. *He* led them out, having wrought wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years. This is the Moses who said to the sons of Israel, A prophet shall God raise up to you out of your brethren like me [him shall ye hear].
