2 And they say not in their hearts [that] I remember all their wickedness: now do their own doings encompass them; they are before my face.
Thus saith Jehovah to this people: Even so have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet; and Jehovah hath no delight in them: now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.
Thine own wickedness chastiseth thee, and thy backslidings reprove thee: know then and see that it is an evil thing and bitter that thou hast forsaken Jehovah thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.
And there is not a creature unapparent before him; but all things [are] naked and laid bare to his eyes, with whom we have to do.
So that do not judge anything before [the] time, until the Lord shall come, who shall also both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and shall make manifest the counsels of hearts; and then shall each have [his] praise from God.
Jehovah hath sworn by the glory of Jacob, Certainly I will never forget any of their works.
They have deeply corrupted themselves as in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to thy loving-kindness remember thou me, for thy goodness' sake, Jehovah.
Jehovah is known [by] the judgment he hath executed: the wicked is ensnared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.
great in counsel and mighty in work, whose eyes are open upon all the ways of the children of men, to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:
For mine eyes are upon all their ways; they are not concealed from my face, neither is their iniquity hidden from before mine eyes.
The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib; Israel doth not know, my people hath no intelligence.
For the ways of man are before the eyes of Jehovah, and he pondereth all his paths. His own iniquities shall take the wicked, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sin.
For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his steps.
His bones were full of his youthful strength; but it shall lie down with him in the dust. Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth [and] he hide it under his tongue, [Though] he spare it, and forsake it not, but keep it within his mouth, His food is turned in his bowels; it is the gall of asps within him. He hath swallowed down riches, but he shall vomit them up again: ùGod shall cast them out of his belly. He shall suck the poison of asps; the viper's tongue shall kill him. He shall not see streams, rivers, brooks of honey and butter. That which he laboured for shall he restore, and not swallow down; its restitution shall be according to the value, and he shall not rejoice [therein]. For he hath oppressed, hath forsaken the poor; he hath violently taken away a house that he did not build. Because he knew no rest in his craving, he shall save nought of what he most desired. Nothing escaped his greediness; therefore his prosperity shall not endure. In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits; every hand of the wretched shall come upon him. It shall be that, to fill his belly, he will cast his fierce anger upon him, and will rain it upon him into his flesh. If he have fled from the iron weapon, the bow of brass shall strike him through. He draweth it forth; it cometh out of his body, and the glittering point out of his gall: terrors are upon him. All darkness is laid up for his treasures: a fire not blown shall devour him; it shall feed upon what is left in his tent. The heavens shall reveal his iniquity, and the earth shall rise up against him. The increase of his house shall depart, flowing away in the day of his anger. This is the portion of the wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed to him by ùGod.
But if ye do not do so, behold, ye have sinned against Jehovah, and be sure your sin will find you out.
Jehovah, in trouble they sought thee; they poured out [their] whispered prayer when thy chastening was upon them.
And none taketh it to heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire, and have also baked bread upon the coals thereof, I have roasted flesh, and eaten [it], and with the rest thereof shall I make an abomination? shall I bow down to a block of wood?

Commentary on Hosea 7 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 7
In this chapter we have,
Hsa 7:1-7
Some take away the last words of the foregoing chapter, and make them the beginning of this: "When I returned, or would have returned, the captivity of my people, when I was about to come towards them in ways of mercy, even when I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim (the country and common people) was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria, the court and the chief city.' Now, in these verses, we may observe,
Hsa 7:8-16
Having seen how vicious and corrupt the court was, we now come to enquire how it is with the country, and we find that to be no better; and no marvel if the distemper that has so seized the head affect the whole body, so that there is no soundness in it; the iniquity of Ephraim is discovered, as well as the sin of Samaria, of the people as well as the princes, of which here are divers instances.
