5 Are thy days as the days of a mortal? are thy years as a man's days,
Before the mountains were brought forth, and thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from eternity to eternity thou art ùGod. Thou makest [mortal] man to return to dust, and sayest, Return, children of men. For a thousand years, in thy sight, are as yesterday when it is past, and [as] a watch in the night.
I said, My ùGod, take me not away in the midst of my days! ... Thy years are from generation to generation. Of old hast thou founded the earth, and the heavens are the work of thy hands: *They* shall perish, but *thou* continuest; and all of them shall grow old as a garment: as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed. But thou art the Same, and thy years shall have no end.
