31 But many of the crowd believed on him, and said, Will the Christ, when he comes, do more signs than those which this [man] has done?
As he spoke these things many believed on him. Jesus therefore said to the Jews who believed him, If ye abide in my word, ye are truly my disciples; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.
And many came to him, and said, John did no sign; but all things which John said of this [man] were true. And many believed on him there.
and said to him, Art *thou* the coming [one]? or are we to wait for another? And Jesus answering said to them, Go, report to John what ye hear and see. Blind [men] see and lame walk; lepers are cleansed, and deaf hear; and dead are raised, and poor have glad tidings preached to them: and blessed is whosoever shall not be offended in me.
The men therefore, having seen the sign which Jesus had done, said, This is truly the prophet which is coming into the world. Jesus therefore knowing that they were going to come and seize him, that they might make [him] king, departed again to the mountain himself alone.
