5 For Jehovah is good; his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever; and his faithfulness from generation to generation.
Give ye thanks unto Jehovah, for he is good; for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever: Give thanks unto the God of gods, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever; Give thanks unto the Lord of lords, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever. To him who alone doeth great wonders, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever: To him that by understanding made the heavens, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever; To him that stretched out the earth above the waters, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever; To him that made great lights, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever; The sun for rule over the day, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever, The moon and stars for rule over the night, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever: To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever, And brought out Israel from among them, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever, With a powerful hand and with a stretched-out arm, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever; To him that divided the Red sea into parts, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever, And made Israel to pass through the midst of it, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever, And overturned Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever; To him that led his people through the wilderness, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever; To him that smote great kings, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever, And slew famous kings, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever; Sihon king of the Amorites, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever, And Og king of Bashan, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever; And gave their land for an inheritance, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever, An inheritance unto Israel his servant, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever: Who hath remembered us in our low estate, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever; And hath delivered us from our oppressors, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever: Who giveth food to all flesh, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever. Give ye thanks unto the ùGod of the heavens; for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever.
Give ye thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever. Oh let Israel say, that his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever. Oh let the house of Aaron say, that his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever. Oh let them that fear Jehovah say, that his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever.
For God, having promised to Abraham, since he had no greater to swear by, swore by himself, saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee; and thus, having had long patience, he got the promise. For men indeed swear by a greater, and with them the oath is a term to all dispute, as making matters sure. Wherein God, willing to shew more abundantly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of his purpose, intervened by an oath, that by two unchangeable things, in which [it was] impossible that God should lie, we might have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us,
For I say that Jesus Christ became a minister of [the] circumcision for [the] truth of God, to confirm the promises of the fathers; and that the nations should glorify God for mercy; according as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among [the] nations, and will sing to thy name.
And Jehovah passed by before his face, and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah ùGod merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy unto thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but by no means clearing [the guilty]; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, upon the third and upon the fourth [generation].
Thus saith Jehovah: If ye can break my covenant [in respect] of the day, and my covenant [in respect] of the night, so that there should not be day and night in their season, [then] shall also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites, the priests, my ministers.
Thy faithfulness is from generation to generation: thou hast established the earth, and it standeth. By thine ordinances they stand this day; for all things are thy servants.
{An instruction. Of Ethan the Ezrahite.} I will sing of the loving-kindness of Jehovah for ever; with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness from generation to generation. For I said, Loving-kindness shall be built up for ever; in the very heavens wilt thou establish thy faithfulness.

Commentary on Psalms 100 Commentary Critical and Explanatory on the Whole Bible
PSALM 100
Ps 100:1-5. As closing this series (see on Ps 93:1), this Psalm is a general call on all the earth to render exalted praise to God, the creator, preserver, and benefactor of men.
1, 2. With thankful praise, unite service as the subjects of a king (Ps 2:11, 12).
3. To the obligations of a creature and subject is added that of a beneficiary (Ps 95:7).
4. Join joyfully in His public worship. The terms are, of course, figurative (compare Ps 84:2; 92:13; Isa 66:23).
Enter—or, "Come with solemnity" (Ps 95:6).
5. The reason: God's eternal mercy and truth (Ps 25:8; 89:7).
