27 And Hiram H2438 sent H7971 in the navy H590 his servants, H5650 shipmen H582 H591 that had knowledge H3045 of the sea, H3220 with the servants H5650 of Solomon. H8010
Now therefore command H6680 thou that they hew H3772 me cedar trees H730 out of Lebanon; H3844 and my servants H5650 shall be with thy servants: H5650 and unto thee will I give H5414 hire H7939 for thy servants H5650 according to all that thou shalt appoint: H559 for thou knowest H3045 that there is not among us any H376 that can skill H3045 to hew H3772 timber H6086 like unto the Sidonians. H6722
My servants H5650 shall bring them down H3381 from Lebanon H3844 unto the sea: H3220 and I will convey H7760 them by sea H3220 in floats H1702 unto the place H4725 that thou shalt appoint H7971 me, and will cause them to be discharged H5310 there, and thou shalt receive H5375 them: and thou shalt accomplish H6213 my desire, H2656 in giving H5414 food H3899 for my household. H1004
Then said H559 Ahaziah H274 the son H1121 of Ahab H256 unto Jehoshaphat, H3092 Let my servants H5650 go H3212 with thy servants H5650 in the ships. H591 But Jehoshaphat H3092 would H14 not.
And he joined H2266 himself with him to make H6213 ships H591 to go H3212 to Tarshish: H8659 and they made H6213 the ships H591 in Eziongeber. H6100 Then Eliezer H461 the son H1121 of Dodavah H1735 of Mareshah H4762 prophesied H5012 against Jehoshaphat, H3092 saying, H559 Because thou hast joined H2266 thyself with Ahaziah, H274 the LORD H3068 hath broken H6555 thy works. H4639 And the ships H591 were broken, H7665 that they were not able H6113 to go H3212 to Tarshish. H8659

Commentary on 1 Kings 9 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 9
In this chapter we have,
1Ki 9:1-9
God had given a real answer to Solomon's prayer, and tokens of his acceptance of it, immediately, by the fire from heaven which consumed the sacrifices (as we find 2 Chr. 7:1); but here we have a more express and distinct answer to it. Observe,
1Ki 9:10-14
What agreement was made between Solomon and Hiram, when the building-work was to be begun, we read before, ch. 5. Here we have an account of their fair and friendly parting when the work was done.
1Ki 9:15-28
We have here a further account of Solomon's greatness.
