15 And G1161 when G5613 she was baptized, G907 and G2532 her G846 household, G3624 she besought G3870 us, saying, G3004 If G1487 ye have judged G2919 me G3165 to be G1511 faithful G4103 to the Lord, G2962 come G1525 into G1519 my G3450 house, G3624 and abide G3306 there. And G2532 she constrained G3849 us. G2248
Let a little H4592 water, H4325 I pray you, H4994 be fetched, H3947 and wash H7364 your feet, H7272 and rest yourselves H8172 under the tree: H6086 And I will fetch H3947 a morsel H6595 of bread, H3899 and comfort ye H5582 your hearts; H3820 after that H310 ye shall pass on: H5674 for therefore are ye come H5674 to H5921 your servant. H5650 And they said, H1696 So do, H6213 as thou hast said. H559
Is G3307 Christ G5547 divided? G3307 G3361 was G4717 Paul G3972 crucified G4717 for G5228 you? G5216 or G2228 were ye baptized G907 in G1519 the name G3686 of Paul? G3972 I thank G2168 God G2316 that G3754 I baptized G907 none G3762 of you, G5216 but G1508 Crispus G2921 and G2532 Gaius; G1050 Lest G3363 any G5100 should say G2036 that G3754 I had baptized G907 in G1519 mine own G1699 name. G3686 And G1161 I baptized G907 also G2532 the household G3624 of Stephanas: G4734 besides, G3063 I know G1492 not G3756 whether I baptized G907 any G1536 other. G243
And G1161 into G1519 whatsoever G3739 G302 house G3614 ye enter, G1525 first G4412 say, G3004 Peace G1515 be to this G5129 house. G3624 And G2532 if G1437 G3303 the son G5207 of peace G1515 be G5600 there, G1563 your G5216 peace G1515 shall rest G1879 upon G1909 it: G846 if not, G1490 it shall turn G344 to G1909 you G5209 again. G344 And G1161 in G1722 the same G846 house G3614 remain, G3306 eating G2068 and G2532 drinking G4095 such things as G3844 they G846 give: G3844 for G1063 the labourer G2040 is G2076 worthy G514 of his G846 hire. G3408 Go G3327 not G3361 from G1537 house G3614 to G1519 house. G3614
And G2532 whatsoever G3739 G302 house G3614 ye enter G1525 into, G1519 there G1563 abide, G3306 and G2532 thence G1564 depart. G1831 And G2532 whosoever G3745 G302 will G1209 not G3361 receive G1209 you, G5209 when ye go G1831 out of G575 that G1565 city, G4172 shake off G660 the very G2532 dust G2868 from G575 your G5216 feet G4228 for G1519 a testimony G3142 against G1909 them. G846
Yet there is H3426 both straw H8401 and provender H4554 for our asses; H2543 and there is bread H3899 and wine H3196 also for me, and for thy handmaid, H519 and for the young man H5288 which is with thy servants: H5650 there is no want H4270 of any thing. H1697 And the old H2205 man H376 said, H559 Peace H7965 be with thee; howsoever H7535 let all thy wants H4270 lie upon me; only lodge H3885 not in the street. H7339 So he brought H935 him into his house, H1004 and gave provender H1101 unto the asses: H2543 and they washed H7364 their feet, H7272 and did eat H398 and drink. H8354

Commentary on Acts 16 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 16
It is some rebuke to Barnabas that after he left Paul we hear no more of him, of what he did or suffered for Christ. But Paul, as he was recommended by the brethren to the grace of God, so his services for Christ after this are largely recorded; we are to attend him in this chapter from place to place, wherever he came doing good, either watering or planting, beginning new work or improving what was done. Here is,
Act 16:1-5
Paul was a spiritual father, and as such a one we have him here adopting Timothy, and taking care of the education of many others who had been begotten to Christ by his ministry: and in all he appears to have been a wise and tender father. Here is,
Act 16:6-15
In these verses we have,
Act 16:16-24
Paul and his companions, though they were for some time buried in obscurity at Philippi, yet now begin to be taken notice of.
Now,
Act 16:25-34
We have here the designs of the persecutors of Paul and Silas baffled and broken.
Act 16:35-40
In these verses we have,
