14 But, behold, I will raise up H6965 against you a nation, H1471 O house H1004 of Israel, H3478 saith H5002 the LORD H3068 the God H430 of hosts; H6635 and they shall afflict H3905 you from the entering in H935 of Hemath H2574 unto the river H5158 of the wilderness. H6160
Lo, I will bring H935 a nation H1471 upon you from far, H4801 O house H1004 of Israel, H3478 saith H5002 the LORD: H3068 it is a mighty H386 nation, H1471 it is an ancient H5769 nation, H1471 a nation H1471 whose language H3956 thou knowest H3045 not, neither understandest H8085 what they say. H1696 Their quiver H827 is as an open H6605 sepulchre, H6913 they are all mighty men. H1368 And they shall eat up H398 thine harvest, H7105 and thy bread, H3899 which thy sons H1121 and thy daughters H1323 should eat: H398 they shall eat up H398 thy flocks H6629 and thine herds: H1241 they shall eat up H398 thy vines H1612 and thy fig trees: H8384 they shall impoverish H7567 thy fenced H4013 cities, H5892 wherein thou H2007 trustedst, H982 with the sword. H2719
And this shall be your north H6828 border: H1366 from the great H1419 sea H3220 ye shall point out H8376 for you mount H2022 Hor: H2023 From mount H2022 Hor H2023 ye shall point out H8376 your border unto the entrance H935 of Hamath; H2574 and the goings forth H8444 of the border H1366 shall be to Zedad: H6657
For before the child H5288 shall have knowledge H3045 to cry, H7121 My father, H1 and my mother, H517 the riches H2428 of Damascus H1834 and the spoil H7998 of Samaria H8111 shall be taken away H5375 before H6440 the king H4428 of Assyria. H804 The LORD H3068 spake H1696 also unto me again, H3254 saying, H559 Forasmuch H3282 as this people H5971 refuseth H3988 the waters H4325 of Shiloah H7975 that go H1980 softly, H328 and rejoice H4885 in Rezin H7526 and Remaliah's H7425 son; H1121 Now therefore, behold, the Lord H136 bringeth up H5927 upon them the waters H4325 of the river, H5104 strong H6099 and many, H7227 even the king H4428 of Assyria, H804 and all his glory: H3519 and he shall come up H5927 over all his channels, H650 and go over H1980 all his banks: H1415 And he shall pass H2498 through Judah; H3063 he shall overflow H7857 and go over, H5674 he shall reach H5060 even to the neck; H6677 and the stretching out H4298 of his wings H3671 shall fill H4393 the breadth H7341 of thy land, H776 O Immanuel. H6005 H410
O H1945 Assyrian, H804 the rod H7626 of mine anger, H639 and the staff H4294 in their hand H3027 is mine indignation. H2195 I will send H7971 him against an hypocritical H2611 nation, H1471 and against the people H5971 of my wrath H5678 will I give him a charge, H6680 to take H7997 the spoil, H7998 and to take H962 the prey, H957 and to tread them down H7760 H4823 like the mire H2563 of the streets. H2351
And this shall be the border H1366 of the land H776 toward the north H6828 side, H6285 from the great H1419 sea, H3220 the way H1870 of Hethlon, H2855 as men go H935 to Zedad; H6657 Hamath, H2574 Berothah, H1268 Sibraim, H5453 which is between the border H1366 of Damascus H1834 and the border H1366 of Hamath; H2574 Hazarhatticon, H2694 which is by the coast H1366 of Hauran. H2362 And the border H1366 from the sea H3220 shall be Hazarenan, H2703 the border H1366 of Damascus, H1834 and the north H6828 northward, H6828 and the border H1366 of Hamath. H2574 And this is the north H6828 side. H6285

Commentary on Amos 6 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 6
In this chapter we have,
Amo 6:1-7
The first words of the chapter are the contents of these verses; but they sound very strangely, and contrary to the sentiments of a vain world: Woe to those that are at ease! We are ready to say, Happy are those that are at ease, that neither feel any trouble nor fear any, that lie soft and warm, and lay nothing to heart; and wise we think are those that do so, that bathe themselves in the delights of sense and care not how the world goes. Those are looked upon as doing well for themselves that do well for their bodies and make much of them; but against them this woe is denounced, and we are here told what their ease is, and what the woe is.
Amo 6:8-14
In the former part of the chapter we had these secure Israelites loading themselves with pleasures, as if they could never be made merry enough; here we have God loading them with punishments, as if they could never be made miserable enough. And observe,
