6 And one said H559 to the man H376 clothed H3847 in linen, H906 which was upon H4605 the waters H4325 of the river, H2975 How long shall it be to the end H7093 of these wonders? H6382
And, behold, six H8337 men H582 came H935 from the way H1870 of the higher H5945 gate, H8179 which lieth H6437 toward the north, H6828 and every man H376 a slaughter H4660 weapon H3627 in his hand; H3027 and one H259 man H376 among H8432 them was clothed H3847 with linen, H906 with a writer's H5608 inkhorn H7083 by his side: H4975 and they went in, H935 and stood H5975 beside H681 the brasen H5178 altar. H4196
Then I heard H8085 one H259 saint H6918 speaking, H1696 and another H259 saint H6918 said H559 unto that certain H6422 saint which spake, H1696 How long shall be the vision H2377 concerning the daily H8548 sacrifice, and the transgression H6588 of desolation, H8074 to give H5414 both the sanctuary H6944 and the host H6635 to be trodden under foot? H4823
Then the angel H4397 of the LORD H3068 answered H6030 and said, H559 O LORD H3068 of hosts, H6635 how long wilt thou not have mercy H7355 on Jerusalem H3389 and on the cities H5892 of Judah, H3063 against which thou hast had indignation H2194 these threescore and ten H7657 years? H8141 And the LORD H3068 answered H6030 the angel H4397 that talked H1696 with me with good H2896 words H1697 and comfortable H5150 words. H1697
We see H7200 not our signs: H226 there is no more any prophet: H5030 neither is there among us any that knoweth H3045 how long. H5704
Then I lifted up H5375 mine eyes, H5869 and looked, H7200 and behold a certain H259 man H376 clothed H3847 in linen, H906 whose loins H4975 were girded H2296 with fine gold H3800 of Uphaz: H210 His body H1472 also was like the beryl, H8658 and his face H6440 as the appearance H4758 of lightning, H1300 and his eyes H5869 as lamps H3940 of fire, H784 and his arms H2220 and his feet H4772 like in colour H5869 to polished H7044 brass, H5178 and the voice H6963 of his words H1697 like the voice H6963 of a multitude. H1995
To the intent that G2443 now G3568 unto the principalities G746 and G2532 powers G1849 in G1722 heavenly G2032 places might be known G1107 by G1223 the church G1577 the manifold G4182 wisdom G4678 of God, G2316
Unto whom G3739 it was revealed, G601 that G3754 not G3756 unto themselves, G1438 but G1161 unto us G2254 they did minister G1247 the things, G846 which G3739 are G312 now G3568 reported G312 unto you G5213 by G1223 them that have preached the gospel G2097 unto you G5209 with G1722 the Holy G40 Ghost G4151 sent down G649 from G575 heaven; G3772 which things G3739 the angels G32 desire G1937 to look G3879 into. G1519
And G2532 he had G2192 in G1722 his G846 hand G5495 a little book G974 open: G455 and G2532 he set G5087 his G846 right G1188 foot G4228 upon G1909 the sea, G2281 and G1161 his left G2176 foot on G1909 the earth, G1093 And G2532 cried G2896 with a loud G3173 voice, G5456 as G5618 when a lion G3023 roareth: G3455 and G2532 when G3753 he had cried, G2896 seven G2033 thunders G1027 uttered G2980 their G1438 voices. G5456 And G2532 when G3753 the seven G2033 thunders G1027 had uttered G2980 their G1438 voices, G5456 I was about G3195 to write: G1125 and G2532 I heard G191 a voice G5456 from G1537 heaven G3772 saying G3004 unto me, G3427 Seal up G4972 those things which G3739 the seven G2033 thunders G1027 uttered, G2980 and G2532 write G1125 them G5023 not. G3361 And G2532 the angel G32 which G3739 I saw G1492 stand G2476 upon G1909 the sea G2281 and G2532 upon G1909 the earth G1093 lifted up G142 his G846 hand G5495 to G1519 heaven, G3772

Commentary on Daniel 12 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 12
After the prediction of the troubles of the Jews under Antiochus, prefiguring the troubles of the Christian church under the anti-christian power, we have here,
Dan 12:1-4
It is usual with the prophets, when they foretel the grievances of the church, to furnish it at the same time with proper antidotes, a remedy for every malady. And no relief is so sovereign, of such general application, so easily accommodated to every case, and of such powerful efficacy, as those that are fetched from Christ and the future state; thence the comforts here are fetched.
Dan 12:5-13
Daniel had been made to foresee the amazing revolutions of states and kingdoms, as far as the Israel of God was concerned in them; in them he foresaw troublous times to the church, suffering trying times, the prospect of which much affected him and filled him with concern. Now there were two questions proper to be asked upon this head:-When shall the end be? And, What shall the end be? These two questions are asked and answered here, in the close of the book; and though the comforts prescribed in the foregoing verses, one would think, were satisfactory enough, yet, for more abundant satisfaction, this is added.
