17 Wherefore have ye not eaten H398 the sin offering H2403 in the holy H6944 place, H4725 seeing it is most H6944 holy, H6944 and God hath given H5414 it you to bear H5375 the iniquity H5771 of the congregation, H5712 to make atonement H3722 for them before H6440 the LORD? H3068
And the LORD H3068 spake H1696 unto Moses, H4872 saying, H559 Speak H1696 unto Aaron H175 and to his sons, H1121 saying, H559 This is the law H8451 of the sin offering: H2403 In the place H4725 where the burnt offering H5930 is killed H7819 shall the sin offering H2403 be killed H7819 before H6440 the LORD: H3068 it is most H6944 holy. H6944 The priest H3548 that offereth it for sin H2398 shall eat H398 it: in the holy H6918 place H4725 shall it be eaten, H398 in the court H2691 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation. H4150 Whatsoever shall touch H5060 the flesh H1320 thereof shall be holy: H6942 and when there is sprinkled H5137 of the blood H1818 thereof upon any garment, H899 thou shalt wash H3526 that whereon it was sprinkled H5137 in the holy H6918 place. H4725 But the earthen H2789 vessel H3627 wherein it is sodden H1310 shall be broken: H7665 and if it be sodden H1310 in a brasen H5178 pot, H3627 it shall be both scoured, H4838 and rinsed H7857 in water. H4325 All the males H2145 among the priests H3548 shall eat H398 thereof: it is most H6944 holy. H6944 And no sin offering, H2403 whereof any of the blood H1818 is brought H935 into the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 to reconcile H3722 withal in the holy H6944 place, shall be eaten: H398 it shall be burnt H8313 in the fire. H784
Every male H2145 among the priests H3548 shall eat H398 thereof: it shall be eaten H398 in the holy H6918 place: H4725 it is most H6944 holy. H6944 As the sin offering H2403 is, so is the trespass offering: H817 there is one H259 law H8451 for them: the priest H3548 that maketh atonement H3722 therewith shall have it.
All we like sheep H6629 have gone astray; H8582 we have turned H6437 every one H376 to his own way; H1870 and the LORD H3068 hath laid H6293 on him the iniquity H5771 of us all. He was oppressed, H5065 and he was afflicted, H6031 yet he opened H6605 not his mouth: H6310 he is brought H2986 as a lamb H7716 to the slaughter, H2874 and as a sheep H7353 before H6440 her shearers H1494 is dumb, H481 so he openeth H6605 not his mouth. H6310 He was taken H3947 from prison H6115 and from judgment: H4941 and who shall declare H7878 his generation? H1755 for he was cut off H1504 out of the land H776 of the living: H2416 for the transgression H6588 of my people H5971 was he stricken. H5061 And he made H5414 his grave H6913 with the wicked, H7563 and with the rich H6223 in his death; H4194 because he had done H6213 no violence, H2555 neither was any deceit H4820 in his mouth. H6310 Yet it pleased H2654 the LORD H3068 to bruise H1792 him; he hath put him to grief: H2470 when thou shalt make H7760 his soul H5315 an offering for sin, H817 he shall see H7200 his seed, H2233 he shall prolong H748 his days, H3117 and the pleasure H2656 of the LORD H3068 shall prosper H6743 in his hand. H3027 He shall see H7200 of the travail H5999 of his soul, H5315 and shall be satisfied: H7646 by his knowledge H1847 shall my righteous H6662 servant H5650 justify H6663 many; H7227 for he shall bear H5445 their iniquities. H5771
Lie H7901 thou also upon thy left H8042 side, H6654 and lay H7760 the iniquity H5771 of the house H1004 of Israel H3478 upon it: according to the number H4557 of the days H3117 that thou shalt lie H7901 upon it thou shalt bear H5375 their iniquity. H5771 For I have laid H5414 upon thee the years H8141 of their iniquity, H5771 according to the number H4557 of the days, H3117 three H7969 hundred H3967 and ninety H8673 days: H3117 so shalt thou bear H5375 the iniquity H5771 of the house H1004 of Israel. H3478 And when thou hast accomplished H3615 them, H428 lie H7901 again H8145 on thy right H3233 H3227 side, H6654 and thou shalt bear H5375 the iniquity H5771 of the house H1004 of Judah H3063 forty H705 days: H3117 I have appointed H5414 thee each day H3117 H3117 for a year. H8141 H8141
Yet say H559 ye, Why? doth not the son H1121 bear H5375 the iniquity H5771 of the father? H1 When the son H1121 hath done H6213 that which is lawful H4941 and right, H6666 and hath kept H8104 all my statutes, H2708 and hath done H6213 them, he shall surely H2421 live. H2421 The soul H5315 that sinneth, H2398 it shall die. H4191 The son H1121 shall not bear H5375 the iniquity H5771 of the father, H1 neither shall the father H1 bear H5375 the iniquity H5771 of the son: H1121 the righteousness H6666 of the righteous H6662 shall be upon him, and the wickedness H7564 of the wicked H7563 shall be upon him.

Commentary on Leviticus 10 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 10
The story of this chapter is as sad an interruption to the institutions of the levitical law as that of the golden calf was to the account of the erecting of the tabernacle. Here is,
Lev 10:1-2
Here is,
Lev 10:3-7
We may well think that when Nadab and Abihu were struck with death all about them were struck with horror, and every face, as well as theirs, gathered blackness. Great consternation, no doubt, seized them, and they were all full of confusion; but, whatever the rest were, Moses was composed, and knew what he said and did, not being displeased, as David was in a like case, 2 Sa. 6:8. But though it touched him in a very tender part, and was a dreadful damp to one of the greatest joys he ever knew, yet he kept possession of his own soul, and took care to keep good order and a due decorum in the sanctuary.
Lev 10:8-11
Aaron having been very observant of what God said to him by Moses, now God does him the honour to speak to him immediately (v. 8): The Lord spoke unto Aaron, and the rather because what was now to be said Aaron might perhaps have taken amiss from Moses, as if he had suspected him to have been a gluttonous man and a wine-bibber, so apt are we to resent cautions as accusations; therefore God saith it himself to him, Do not drink wine, nor strong drink, when you go into the tabernacle, and this at their peril, lest you die, v. 9. Probably they had seen the ill effect of it in Nadab and Abihu, and therefore must take warning by them. Observe here,
Lev 10:12-20
Moses is here directing Aaron to go on with his service after this interruption. Afflictions should rather quicken us to our duty than take us off from it. Observe (v. 12), He spoke unto Aaron and to his sons that were left. The notice taken of their survivorship intimates,
