21 Then G1161 Jesus G2424 beholding G1689 him G846 loved G25 him, G846 and G2532 said G2036 unto him, G846 One thing G1520 thou G4671 lackest: G5302 go thy way, G5217 sell G4453 whatsoever G3745 thou hast, G2192 and G2532 give G1325 to the poor, G4434 and G2532 thou shalt have G2192 treasure G2344 in G1722 heaven: G3772 and G2532 come, G1204 take up G142 the cross, G4716 and follow G190 me. G3427
Charge G3853 them that are rich G4145 in G1722 this G3568 world, G165 that they be G5309 not G3361 highminded, G5309 nor G3366 trust G1679 in G1909 uncertain G83 riches, G4149 but G235 in G1722 the living G2198 God, G2316 who G3588 giveth G3930 us G2254 richly G4146 all things G3956 to G1519 enjoy; G619 That they do good, G14 that they be rich G4147 in G1722 good G2570 works, G2041 ready to distribute, G1511 G2130 willing to communicate; G2843 Laying up in store G597 for themselves G1438 a good G2570 foundation G2310 against G1519 the time to come, G3195 that G2443 they may lay hold on G1949 eternal G166 life. G2222
Lay G2343 not G3361 up G2343 for yourselves G5213 treasures G2344 upon G1909 earth, G1093 where G3699 moth G4597 and G2532 rust G1035 doth corrupt, G853 and G2532 where G3699 thieves G2812 break through G1358 and G2532 steal: G2813 But G1161 lay up G2343 for yourselves G5213 treasures G2344 in G1722 heaven, G3772 where G3699 neither G3777 moth G4597 nor G3777 rust G1035 doth corrupt, G853 and G2532 where G3699 thieves G2812 do G1358 not G3756 break through G1358 nor G3761 steal: G2813 For G1063 where G3699 your G5216 treasure G2344 is, G2076 there G1563 will G2071 your G5216 heart G2588 be G2071 also. G2532
To G1519 an inheritance G2817 incorruptible, G862 and G2532 undefiled, G283 and G2532 that fadeth not away, G263 reserved G5083 in G1722 heaven G3772 for G1519 you, G5209 Who G3588 are kept G5432 by G1722 the power G1411 of God G2316 through G1223 faith G4102 unto G1519 salvation G4991 ready G2092 to be revealed G601 in G1722 the last G2078 time. G2540
And G1161 if G1487 children, G5043 then G2532 heirs; G2818 heirs G2818 of God, G3303 G2316 and G1161 joint-heirs G4789 with Christ; G5547 if so be G1512 that we suffer with G4841 him, that G2443 we may be G4888 also G2532 glorified together. G4888 For G1063 I reckon G3049 that G3754 the sufferings G3804 of this present G3568 time G2540 are not G3756 worthy G514 to be compared with G4314 the glory G1391 which shall G3195 be revealed G601 in G1519 us. G2248
Neither G3761 G1063 was G5225 there any G5100 among G1722 them G846 that lacked: G1729 for G1063 as many as G3745 were G5225 possessors G2935 of lands G5564 or G2228 houses G3614 sold them, G4453 and brought G5342 the prices G5092 of the things that were sold, G4097 And G2532 laid them down G5087 at G3844 the apostles' G652 feet: G4228 and G1161 distribution was made G1239 unto every man G1538 according G2530 as G302 he had G2192 need. G5100 G5532 And G1161 Joses, G2500 who G3588 by G5259 the apostles G652 was surnamed G1941 Barnabas, G921 (which G3739 is, G2076 being interpreted, G3177 The son G5207 of consolation,) G3874 a Levite, G3019 and of the country G1085 of Cyprus, G2953 Having G5225 G846 land, G68 sold G4453 it, and brought G5342 the money, G5536 and G2532 laid G5087 it at G3844 the apostles' G652 feet. G4228
Again, G3825 the kingdom G932 of heaven G3772 is G2076 like G3664 unto treasure G2344 hid G2928 in G1722 a field; G68 the which G3739 when a man G444 hath found, G2147 he hideth, G2928 and G2532 for G575 joy G5479 thereof G846 goeth G5217 and G2532 selleth G4453 all G3956 that G3745 he hath, G2192 and G2532 buyeth G59 that G1565 field. G68 Again, G3825 the kingdom G932 of heaven G3772 is G2076 like G3664 unto a merchant G1713 man, G444 seeking G2212 goodly G2570 pearls: G3135 Who, G3739 when he had found G2147 one G1520 pearl G3135 of great price, G4186 went G565 and sold G4097 all G3956 that G3745 he had, G2192 and G2532 bought G59 it. G846
For he said, H559 Surely they are my people, H5971 children H1121 that will not lie: H8266 so he was their Saviour. H3467 In all their affliction H6869 he was afflicted, H6862 and the angel H4397 of his presence H6440 saved H3467 them: in his love H160 and in his pity H2551 he redeemed H1350 them; and he bare H5190 them, and carried H5375 them all the days H3117 of old. H5769 But they rebelled, H4784 and vexed H6087 his holy H6944 Spirit: H7307 therefore he was turned H2015 to be their enemy, H341 and he fought H3898 against them.

Commentary on Mark 10 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 10
In this chapter, we have,
Mar 10:1-12
Our Lord Jesus was an itinerant Preacher, did not continue long in a place, for the whole land of Canaan was his parish, or diocese, and therefore he would visit every part of it, and give instructions to those in the remotest corners of it. Here we have him in the coasts of Judea, by the further side of Jordan eastward, as we found him, not long since, in the utmost borders westward, near Tyre and Sidon. Thus was his circuit like that of the sun, from whose light and heat nothing is hid. Now here we have him,
Here is,
Moses tells us,
Mar 10:13-16
It is looked upon as the indication of a kind and tender disposition to take notice of little children, and this was remarkable in our Lord Jesus, which is an encouragement not only to little children to apply themselves to Christ when they are very young, but to grown people, who are conscious to themselves of weakness and childishness, and of being, through manifold infirmities, helpless and useless, like little children. Here we have,
Mar 10:17-31
Mar 10:32-45
Here is,
Note,
Mar 10:46-52
This passage of story agrees with that, Mt. 20:29, etc. Only that there were told of two blind men; here, and Lu. 18:35, only of one: but if there were two, there was one. This one is named here, being a blind beggar that was much talked of; he was called Bartimeus, that is, the son of Timeus; which, some think, signifies the son of a blind man; he was the blind son of a blind father, which made the case worse, and the cure more wonderful, and the more proper to typify the spiritual cures wrought by the grace of Christ, on those that not only are born blind, but are born of those that are blind.
