5 Then G1899 the Pharisees G5330 and G2532 scribes G1122 asked G1905 him, G846 Why G1302 walk G4043 not G3756 thy G4675 disciples G3101 according G2596 to the tradition G3862 of the elders, G4245 but G235 eat G2068 bread G740 with unwashen G449 hands? G5495
Why G1302 do thy G4675 disciples G3101 transgress G3845 the tradition G3862 of the elders? G4245 for G1063 they wash G3538 not G3756 their G846 hands G5495 when G3752 they eat G2068 bread. G740
And G2532 when the scribes G1122 and G2532 Pharisees G5330 saw G1492 him G846 eat G2068 with G3326 publicans G5057 and G2532 sinners, G268 they said G3004 unto his G846 disciples, G3101 How G5101 is it that G3754 he eateth G2068 and G2532 drinketh G4095 with G3326 publicans G5057 and G2532 sinners? G268 When G2532 Jesus G2424 heard G191 it, he saith G3004 unto them, G846 They that are whole G2480 have G2192 no G3756 need G5532 of the physician, G2395 but G235 they that are G2192 sick: G2560 I came G2064 not G3756 to call G2564 the righteous, G1342 but G235 sinners G268 to G1519 repentance. G3341 And G2532 the disciples G3101 of John G2491 and G2532 of the Pharisees G5330 used G2258 to fast: G3522 and G2532 they come G2064 and G2532 say G3004 unto him, G846 Why G1302 do G3522 the disciples G3101 of John G2491 and G2532 of the Pharisees G5330 fast, G3522 but G1161 thy G4674 disciples G3101 fast G3522 not? G3756
And G2532 when they saw G1492 some G5100 of his G846 disciples G3101 eat G2068 bread G740 with defiled, G2839 that is to say, G5123 with unwashen, G449 hands, G5495 they found fault. G3201 For G1063 the Pharisees, G5330 and G2532 all G3956 the Jews, G2453 except G3362 they wash G3538 their hands G5495 oft, G4435 eat G2068 not, G3756 holding G2902 the tradition G3862 of the elders. G4245
And G1161 they are informed G2727 of G4012 thee, G4675 that G3754 thou teachest G1321 all G3956 the Jews G2453 which are among G2596 the Gentiles G1484 to G575 forsake G646 Moses, G3475 saying G3004 that they G846 ought G4059 not G3361 to circumcise G4059 their children, G5043 neither G3366 to walk G4043 after the customs. G1485
Them G5128 take, G3880 and purify thyself G48 with G4862 them, G846 and G2532 be at charges G1159 with G1909 them, G846 that G2443 they may shave G3587 their heads: G2776 and G2532 all G3956 may know G1097 that those things, G3754 whereof G3739 they were informed G2727 concerning G4012 thee, G4675 are G2076 nothing; G3762 but G235 that thou thyself G846 also G2532 walkest orderly, G4748 and keepest G5442 the law. G3551
Now G1161 we command G3853 you, G5213 brethren, G80 in G1722 the name G3686 of our G2257 Lord G2962 Jesus G2424 Christ, G5547 that ye withdraw G4724 yourselves G5209 from G575 every G3956 brother G80 that walketh G4043 disorderly, G814 and G2532 not G3361 after G2596 the tradition G3862 which G3739 he received G3880 of G3844 us. G2257
For G1063 we hear G191 that there are some G5100 which walk G4043 among G1722 you G5213 disorderly, G814 working G2038 not at all, G3367 but G235 are busybodies. G4020

Commentary on Mark 7 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 7
In this chapter we have,
Mar 7:1-23
One great design of Christ's coming, was, to set aside the ceremonial law which God made, and to put an end to it; to make way for which he begins with the ceremonial law which men had made, and added to the law of God's making, and discharges his disciples from the obligation of that; which here he doth fully, upon occasion of the offence which the Pharisees took at them for the violation of it. These Pharisees and scribes with whom he had this argument, are said to come from Jerusalem down to Galilee-fourscore or a hundred miles, to pick quarrels with our Saviour there, where they supposed him to have the greatest interest and reputation. Had they come so far to be taught by him, their zeal had been commendable; but to come so far to oppose him, and to check the progress of his gospel, was great wickedness. It should seem that the scribes and Pharisees at Jerusalem pretended not only to a pre-eminence above, but to an authority over, the country clergy, and therefore kept up their visitations and sent inquisitors among them, as they did to John when he appeared, Jn. 1:19.
Now in this passage we may observe,
We have here an account of the practice of the Pharisees and all the Jews, v. 3, 4.
Now that which he goes about to set them right in, is, what the pollution is, which we are in danger of being damaged by, v. 15.
Mar 7:24-30
See here,
Mar 7:31-37
Our Lord Jesus seldom staid long in a place, for he knew where his work lay, and attended the changes of it. When he had cured the woman of Canaan's daughter, he had done what he had to do in that place, and therefore presently left those parts, and returned to the sea of Galilee, whereabout his usual residence was; yet he did not come directly thither, but fetched a compass through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis, which lay mostly on the other side Jordan; such long walks did our Lord Jesus take, when he went about doing good.
Now here we have the story of a cure that Christ wrought, which is not recorded by any other of the evangelists; it is of one that was deaf and dumb.
Now this cure was,
