26 But Balaam H1109 answered H6030 and said H559 unto Balak, H1111 Told H1696 not I thee, saying, H559 All that the LORD H3068 speaketh, H1696 that I must do? H6213
And he answered H6030 and said, H559 Must I not take heed H8104 to speak H1696 that which the LORD H3068 hath put H7760 in my mouth? H6310 And Balak H1111 said H559 unto him, Come, H3212 I pray thee, with me unto another H312 place, H4725 from whence thou mayest see H7200 them: thou shalt see H7200 but H657 the utmost H7097 part of them, and shalt not see H7200 them all: and curse H6895 me them from thence.
And Balaam H1109 said H559 unto Balak, H1111 Spake H1696 I not also to thy messengers H4397 which thou sentest H7971 unto me, saying, H559 If Balak H1111 would give H5414 me his house H1004 full H4393 of silver H3701 and gold, H2091 I cannot H3201 go beyond H5674 the commandment H6310 of the LORD, H3068 to do H6213 either good H2896 or bad H7451 of mine own mind; H3820 but what the LORD H3068 saith, H1696 that will I speak? H1696
But G1161 Peter G4074 and G2532 John G2491 answered G611 and said G2036 unto G4314 them, G846 Whether G1487 it be G2076 right G1342 in the sight G1799 of God G2316 to hearken G191 unto you G5216 more than G3123 G2228 unto God, G2316 judge ye. G2919 For G1063 we G2249 cannot G3756 G1410 but G3361 speak G2980 the things which G3739 we have seen G1492 and G2532 heard. G191

In this chapter we have Balak and Balaam busy at work to do Israel a mischief, and, for ought that appears, neither Moses nor the elders of Israel know any thing of the matter, nor are in a capacity to break the snare; but God, who keeps Israel, and neither slumbers nor sleeps, baffles the attempt, without any intercession or contrivance of theirs.
