18 The LORD H3068 is nigh H7138 unto all them that call H7121 upon him, to all that call H7121 upon him in truth. H571
Then shall ye call H7121 upon me, and ye shall go H1980 and pray H6419 unto me, and I will hearken H8085 unto you. And ye shall seek H1245 me, and find H4672 me, when ye shall search H1875 for me with all your heart. H3824
For G3754 if G1437 our G2257 heart G2588 condemn us, G2607 G3754 God G2316 is G2076 greater G3187 than our G2257 heart, G2588 and G2532 knoweth G1097 all things. G3956 Beloved, G27 if G3362 our G2257 heart G2588 condemn G2607 us G2257 not, G3362 then have we G2192 confidence G3954 toward G4314 God. G2316 And G2532 whatsoever G3739 G1437 we ask, G154 we receive G2983 of G3844 him, G846 because G3754 we keep G5083 his G846 commandments, G1785 and G2532 do G4160 those things that are pleasing G701 in his G846 sight. G1799
And when ye spread forth H6566 your hands, H3709 I will hide H5956 mine eyes H5869 from you: yea, when ye make many H7235 prayers, H8605 I will not hear: H8085 your hands H3027 are full H4390 of blood. H1818 Wash H7364 you, make you clean; H2135 put away H5493 the evil H7455 of your doings H4611 from before H5048 mine eyes; H5869 cease H2308 to do evil; H7489
And G2532 when G3752 thou prayest, G4336 thou shalt G2071 not G3756 be G2071 as G5618 the hypocrites G5273 are: for G3754 they love G5368 to pray G4336 standing G2476 in G1722 the synagogues G4864 and G2532 in G1722 the corners G1137 of the streets, G4113 that G3704 they may G302 be seen G5316 of men. G444 Verily G281 I say G3004 unto you, G5213 G3754 They have G568 their G846 reward. G3408 But G1161 thou, G4771 when G3752 thou prayest, G4336 enter G1525 into G1519 thy G4675 closet, G5009 and G2532 when thou hast shut G2808 thy G4675 door, G2374 pray G4336 to thy G4675 Father G3962 which G3588 is in G1722 secret; G2927 and G2532 thy G4675 Father G3962 which G3588 seeth G991 in G1722 secret G2927 shall reward G591 thee G4671 openly. G1722 G5318 But G1161 when ye pray, G4336 use G945 not G3361 vain repetitions, G945 as G5618 the heathen G1482 do: for G1063 they think G1380 that G3754 they shall be heard G1522 for G1722 their G846 much speaking. G4180 Be G3666 not G3361 ye G3666 therefore G3767 like G3666 unto them: G846 for G1063 your G5216 Father G3962 knoweth G1492 what things G3739 ye have G2192 need of, G5532 before G4253 ye G5209 ask G154 him. G846
And it came to pass at noon, H6672 that Elijah H452 mocked H2048 them, and said, H559 Cry H7121 aloud: H1419 H6963 for he is a god; H430 either he is talking, H7879 or he is pursuing, H7873 or he is in a journey, H1870 or peradventure H194 he sleepeth, H3463 and must be awaked. H3364 And they cried H7121 aloud, H6963 H1419 and cut H1413 themselves after their manner H4941 with knives H2719 and lancets, H7420 till the blood H1818 gushed out H8210 upon them.
