5 Because they regard H995 not the works H6468 of the LORD, H3068 nor the operation H4639 of his hands, H3027 he shall destroy H2040 them, and not build them up. H1129
And G2532 what G5101 is the exceeding G5235 greatness G3174 of his G846 power G1411 to G1519 us-ward G2248 who G3588 believe, G4100 according to G2596 the working G1753 of his G846 mighty G2479 power, G2904 Which G3739 he wrought G1754 in G1722 Christ, G5547 when he raised G1453 him G846 from G1537 the dead, G3498 and G2532 set G2523 him at G1722 his own G846 right hand G1188 in G1722 the heavenly G2032 places, Far above G5231 all G3956 principality, G746 and G2532 power, G1849 and G2532 might, G1411 and G2532 dominion, G2963 and G2532 every G3956 name G3686 that is named, G3687 not G3756 only G3440 in G1722 this G5129 world, G165 but G235 also G2532 in G1722 that which is to come: G3195
Which hast set H7760 signs H226 and wonders H4159 in the land H776 of Egypt, H4714 even unto this day, H3117 and in Israel, H3478 and among other men; H120 and hast made H6213 thee a name, H8034 as at this day; H3117 And hast brought forth H3318 thy people H5971 Israel H3478 out of the land H776 of Egypt H4714 with signs, H226 and with wonders, H4159 and with a strong H2389 hand, H3027 and with a stretched out H5186 arm, H248 and with great H1419 terror; H4172
He hath made H6213 the earth H776 by his power, H3581 he hath established H3559 the world H8398 by his wisdom, H2451 and hath stretched out H5186 the heavens H8064 by his discretion. H8394 When he uttereth H5414 his voice, H6963 there is a multitude H1995 of waters H4325 in the heavens, H8064 and he causeth the vapours H5387 to ascend H5927 from the ends H7097 of the earth; H776 he maketh H6213 lightnings H1300 with rain, H4306 and bringeth forth H3318 the wind H7307 out of his treasures. H214
With my soul H5315 have I desired H183 thee in the night; H3915 yea, with my spirit H7307 within H7130 me will I seek thee early: H7836 for when thy judgments H4941 are in the earth, H776 the inhabitants H3427 of the world H8398 will learn H3925 righteousness. H6664 Let favour be shewed H2603 to the wicked, H7563 yet will he not H1077 learn H3925 righteousness: H6664 in the land H776 of uprightness H5229 will he deal unjustly, H5765 and will not H1077 behold H7200 the majesty H1348 of the LORD. H3068 LORD, H3068 when thy hand H3027 is lifted up, H7311 they will not see: H2372 but they shall see, H2372 and be ashamed H954 for their envy H7068 at the people; H5971 yea, the fire H784 of thine enemies H6862 shall devour H398 them.
The works H4639 of the LORD H3068 are great, H1419 sought out H1875 of all them that have pleasure H2656 therein. His work H6467 is honourable H1935 and glorious: H1926 and his righteousness H6666 endureth H5975 for ever. H5703 He hath made H6213 his wonderful works H6381 to be remembered: H2143 the LORD H3068 is gracious H2587 and full of compassion. H7349
For thou, LORD, H3068 hast made me glad H8055 through thy work: H6467 I will triumph H7442 in the works H4639 of thy hands. H3027 O LORD, H3068 how great H1431 are thy works! H4639 and thy thoughts H4284 are very H3966 deep. H6009 A brutish H1198 man H376 knoweth H3045 not; neither doth a fool H3684 understand H995 this.
[[To the chief Musician, H5329 A Psalm H4210 of David.]] H1732 The heavens H8064 declare H5608 the glory H3519 of God; H410 and the firmament H7549 sheweth his H5046 handywork. H4639 H3027 Day H3117 unto day H3117 uttereth H5042 speech, H562 and night H3915 unto night H3915 sheweth H2331 knowledge. H1847

Commentary on Psalms 28 Commentary Critical and Explanatory on the Whole Bible
PSALM 28
Ps 28:1-9. An earnest cry for divine aid against his enemies, as being also those of God, is followed by the Psalmist's praise in assurance of a favorable answer, and a prayer for all God's people.
1. my rock—(Ps 18:2, 31).
be not silent to me—literally, "from me," deaf or inattentive.
become like them, &c.—share their fate.
go down into the pit—or, "grave" (Ps 30:3).
2. lift up my hands—a gesture of prayer (Ps 63:4; 141:2).
oracle—place of speaking (Ex 25:22; Nu 7:89), where God answered His people (compare Ps 5:7).
3. Draw me not away—implies punishment as well as death (compare Ps 26:9). Hypocrisy is the special wickedness mentioned.
4. The imprecation is justified in Ps 28:5. The force of the passage is greatly enhanced by the accumulation of terms describing their sin.

5. Disregard of God's judgments brings a righteous punishment.
destroy … build … up—The positive strengthened by the negative form.
6. supplications—or, "cries for mercy."
7. The repetition of "heart" denotes his sincerity.
8. The distinction made between the people.
their strength—and the anointed—may indicate Absalom's rebellion as the occasion.
9. The special prayer for the people sustains this view.
feed them—as a shepherd (Ps 23:1, &c.).
