3 The LORD H3068 will strengthen H5582 him upon the bed H6210 of languishing: H1741 thou wilt make H2015 all his bed H4904 in his sickness. H2483
Turn again, H7725 and tell H559 Hezekiah H2396 the captain H5057 of my people, H5971 Thus saith H559 the LORD, H3068 the God H430 of David H1732 thy father, H1 I have heard H8085 thy prayer, H8605 I have seen H7200 thy tears: H1832 behold, I will heal H7495 thee: on the third H7992 day H3117 thou shalt go up H5927 unto the house H1004 of the LORD. H3068 And I will add H3254 unto thy days H3117 fifteen H2568 H6240 years; H8141 and I will deliver H5337 thee and this city H5892 out of the hand H3709 of the king H4428 of Assyria; H804 and I will defend H1598 this city H5892 for mine own sake, and for my servant H5650 David's H1732 sake.
For which cause G1352 we faint G1573 not; G3756 but G235 though G1499 our G2257 outward G1854 man G444 perish, G1311 yet G235 the inward G2081 man is renewed G341 day G2250 by G2532 day. G2250 For G1063 our G2257 light G1645 affliction, G2347 which G3588 is but for a moment, G3910 worketh G2716 for us G2254 a far G2596 G5236 more exceeding G1519 G5236 and eternal G166 weight G922 of glory; G1391
For G1894 he G2258 longed after G1971 you G5209 all, G3956 and G2532 was full of heaviness, G85 because G1360 that ye had heard G191 that G3754 he had been sick. G770 For G1063 indeed G2532 he was sick G770 nigh G3897 unto death: G2288 but G235 God G2316 had mercy G1653 on him; G846 and G1161 not G3756 on him G846 only, G3440 but G235 on me G1691 also, G2532 lest G3363 I should have G2192 sorrow G3077 upon G1909 sorrow. Commentary on Psalms 41 Matthew Henry Commentary

Is any afflicted with sickness? let him sing the beginning of this psalm. Is any persecuted by enemies? let him sing the latter end of it; and we may any of us, in singing it, meditate upon both the calamities and comforts of good people in this world.
To the chief musician. A psalm of David.
Psa 41:1-4

Psa 41:5-13
David often complains of the insolent conduct of his enemies towards him when he was sick, which, as it was very barbarous in them, so it could not but be very grievous to him. They had not indeed arrived at that modern pitch of wickedness of poisoning his meat and drink, or giving him something to make him sick; but, when he was sick, they insulted over him (v. 5): My enemies speak evil of me, designing thereby to grieve his spirit, to ruin his reputation, and so to sink his interest.
