18 "Neither shall you commit adultery.
"You have heard that it was said, {TR adds "to the ancients,"} 'You shall not commit adultery;' but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.
He who commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding. He who does it destroys his own soul. He will get wounds and dishonor. His reproach will not be wiped away.
For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he has become guilty of all. For he who said, "Do not commit adultery," said also, "Do not commit murder." Now if you do not commit adultery, but murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.
