5 The sun also rises, and the sun goes down, and hurries to its place where it rises.
Their voice has gone out through all the earth, Their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, Like a strong man rejoicing to run his course. His going forth is from the end of the heavens, His circuit to its ends; There is nothing hidden from its heat.
The sun stood still, and the moon stayed, Until the nation had avenged themselves of their enemies. Isn't this written in the book of Jashar? The sun stayed in the midst of the sky, and didn't hurry to go down about a whole day. There was no day like that before it or after it, that Yahweh listened to the voice of a man: for Yahweh fought for Israel.
He appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knows when to set. You make darkness, and it is night, In which all the animals of the forest prowl. The young lions roar after their prey, And seek their food from God. The sun rises, and they steal away, And lay down in their dens. Man goes forth to his work, To his labor until the evening.
