10 But Jesus, knowing this, said to them, "Why do you trouble the woman? Because she has done a good work for me.
Let our people also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they may not be unfruitful.
This saying is faithful, and concerning these things I desire that you affirm confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men;
having good behavior among the nations, so in that which they speak against you as evil-doers, they may by your good works, which they see, glorify God in the day of visitation.
make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.
They profess that they know God, but by their works they deny him, being abominable, disobedient, and unfit for any good work.
being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.
This is a faithful saying: if a man seeks the office of an overseer{Or, bishop}, he desires a good work.
that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.
I wish that those who disturb you would cut themselves off.
and there isn't another gospel. Only there are some who trouble you, and want to pervert the Gospel of Christ.
Turning to the woman, he said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered into your house, and you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head. You gave me no kiss, but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss my feet. You didn't anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little." He said to her, "Your sins are forgiven." Those who sat at the table with him began to say to themselves, "Who is this who even forgives sins?" He said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you. Go in peace."
But Jesus said, "Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for me.
