11 Discretion will watch over you. Understanding will keep you,
Don't forsake her, and she will preserve you. Love her, and she will keep you.
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for you.
When you walk, it will lead you. When you sleep, it will watch over you. When you awake, it will talk with you. For the commandment is a lamp, And the law is light. Reproofs of instruction are the way of life, To keep you from the immoral woman, From the flattery of the wayward wife's tongue.
If the axe is blunt, and one doesn't sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength; but skill brings success.
Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise;
Now a poor wise man was found in it, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man. Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength. Nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard. The words of the wise heard in quiet are better than the cry of him who rules among fools. Wisdom is better than weapons of war; but one sinner destroys much good.
