9 Yahweh's voice makes the deer calve, And strips the forests bare. In his temple everything says, "Glory!"
"Do you know the time when the mountain goats give birth? Do you watch when the doe bears fawns? Can you number the months that they fulfill? Or do you know the time when they give birth? They bow themselves, they bring forth their young, They end their labor pains.
Therefore we won't be afraid, though the earth changes, Though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; Though the waters of it roar and are troubled, Though the mountains tremble with their swelling. Selah. There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad, The holy place of the tents of the Most High. God is in her midst. She shall not be moved. God will help her at dawn.
Praise Yah! Praise the name of Yahweh! Praise him, you servants of Yahweh, You who stand in the house of Yahweh, In the courts of our God's house.
He will consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and it shall be as when a standard-bearer faints. The remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, so that a child may write them.
Son of man, set your face toward the south, and drop [your word] toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the field in the South; and tell the forest of the South, Hear the word of Yahweh: Thus says the Lord Yahweh, Behold, I will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every green tree in you, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burnt thereby. All flesh shall see that I, Yahweh, have kindled it; it shall not be quenched.

Commentary on Psalms 29 Matthew Henry Commentary
Psalm 29

So composed was David, and so cheerful, even in a dreadful tempest, when others trembled, that then he penned this psalm; for, "though the earth be removed, yet will we not fear.'
A psalm of David.
