21 For our heart rejoices in him, Because we have trusted in his holy name.
Hear, Yahweh, and have mercy on me. Yahweh, be my helper." You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness, To the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent. Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever!
Many sorrows shall be to the wicked, But he who trusts in Yahweh, loving kindness shall surround him. Be glad in Yahweh, and rejoice, you righteous! Shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart!
My spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior, For he has looked at the humble state of his handmaid. For behold, from now on, all generations will call me blessed. For he who is mighty has done great things for me. Holy is his name. His mercy is for generations of generations on those who fear him.

Psalm 33
This is a psalm of praise; it is probable that David was the penman of it, but we are not told so, because God would have us look above the penmen of sacred writ, to that blessed Spirit that moved and guided them. The psalmist, in this psalm,
We need not be at a loss for proper thoughts in singing this psalm, which so naturally expresses the pious affections of a devout soul towards God.
