12 `Honour thy father and thy mother, so that thy days are prolonged on the ground which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee.
The children! obey your parents in the Lord, for this is righteous; honour thy father and mother, which is the first command with a promise, `That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live a long time upon the land.'
Hear, my son, the instruction of thy father, And leave not the law of thy mother, For a graceful wreath `are' they to thy head, And chains to thy neck.
for God did command, saying, Honour thy father and mother; and, He who is speaking evil of father or mother -- let him die the death; but ye say, Whoever may say to father or mother, An offering `is' whatever thou mayest be profited by me; -- and he may not honour his father or his mother, and ye did set aside the command of God because of your tradition.
Hearken to thy father, who begat thee, And despise not thy mother when she hath become old. Truth buy, and sell not, Wisdom, and instruction, and understanding, The father of the righteous rejoiceth greatly, The begetter of the wise rejoiceth in him. Rejoice doth thy father and thy mother, Yea, she that bare thee is joyful.

Here is,
Exd 20:12-17
We have here the laws of the second table, as they are commonly called, the last six of the ten commandments, comprehending our duty to ourselves and to one another, and constituting a comment upon the second great commandment, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. As religion towards God is an essential branch of universal righteousness, so righteousness towards men is an essential branch of true religion. Godliness and honesty must go together.
Exd 20:18-21
Exd 20:22-26
Moses having gone into the thick darkness, where God was, God there spoke in his hearing only, privately and without terror, all that follows hence to the end of ch. 23, which is mostly an exposition of the ten commandments; and he was to transmit it by word of mouth first, and afterwards in writing, to the people. The laws in these verses related to God's worship.
