2 The rule and fear `are' with Him, Making peace in His high places.
and through him to reconcile the all things to himself -- having made peace through the blood of his cross -- through him, whether the things upon the earth, whether the things in the heavens.
Because there is none like Thee, O Jehovah, Great `art' Thou, and great Thy name in might. Who doth not fear Thee, king of the nations? For to Thee it is becoming, For among all the wise of the nations, And in all their kingdom there is none like Thee.
to the only wise God our Saviour, `is' glory and greatness, power and authority, both now and to all the ages! Amen.
and might reconcile both in one body to God through the cross, having slain the enmity in it, and having come, he did proclaim good news -- peace to you -- the far-off and the nigh,
which He wrought in the Christ, having raised him out of the dead, and did set `him' at His right hand in the heavenly `places', far above all principality, and authority, and might, and lordship, and every name named, not only in this age, but also in the coming one;
And the all things `are' of God, who reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and did give to us the ministration of the reconciliation, how that God was in Christ -- a world reconciling to Himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses; and having put in us the word of the reconciliation, in behalf of Christ, then, we are ambassadors, as if God were calling through us, we beseech, in behalf of Christ, `Be ye reconciled to God;' for him who did not know sin, in our behalf He did make sin, that we may become the righteousness of God in him.
And having come near, Jesus spake to them, saying, `Given to me was all authority in heaven and on earth;
`And at the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, mine eyes to the heavens have lifted up, and mine understanding unto me returneth, and the Most High I have blessed, and the Age-during Living One I have praised and honoured, whose dominion `is' a dominion age-during, and His kingdom with generation and generation; and all who are dwelling on the earth as nothing are reckoned, and according to his will He is doing among the forces of the heavens and those dwelling on the earth, and there is none that doth clap with his hand, and saith to Him, What hast Thou done? `At that time my understanding doth return unto me, and for the glory of my kingdom, my honour and my brightness doth return unto me, and to me my counsellors and my great men do seek, and over my kingdom I have been made right, and abundant greatness hath been added to me. `Now, I, Nebuchadnezzar, am praising and exalting and honouring the King of the heavens, for all His works `are' truth, and His paths judgment, and those walking in pride He is able to humble.'
Producing the fruit of the lips, `Peace, peace,' to the far off, and to the near, And I have healed him, said Jehovah.
For thus said the high and exalted One, Inhabiting eternity, and holy `is' His name: `In the high and holy place I dwell, And with the bruised and humble of spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of bruised ones,'
And an arm like God hast thou? And with a voice like Him dost thou thunder? Put on, I pray thee, excellency and loftiness, Yea, honour and beauty put on. Scatter abroad the wrath of thine anger, And see every proud one, and make him low. See every proud one -- humble him, And tread down the wicked in their place. Hide them in the dust together, Their faces bind in secret. And even I -- I do praise thee, For thy right hand giveth salvation to thee.
The Rephaim are formed, Beneath the waters, also their inhabitants. Naked `is' Sheol over-against Him, And there is no covering to destruction. Stretching out the north over desolation, Hanging the earth upon nothing, Binding up the waters in His thick clouds, And the cloud is not rent under them. Taking hold of the face of the throne, Spreading over it His cloud. A limit He hath placed on the waters, Unto the boundary of light with darkness. Pillars of the heavens do tremble, And they wonder because of His rebuke. By His power He hath quieted the sea, And by His understanding smitten the proud. By His Spirit the heavens He beautified, Formed hath His hand the fleeing serpent. Lo, these `are' the borders of His way, And how little a matter is heard of Him, And the thunder of His might Who doth understand?
Truly I have known that `it is' so, And what -- is man righteous with God? If he delight to strive with Him -- He doth not answer him one of a thousand. Wise in heart and strong in power -- Who hath hardened toward Him and is at peace? Who is removing mountains, And they have not known, Who hath overturned them in His anger. Who is shaking earth from its place, And its pillars move themselves. Who is speaking to the sun, and it riseth not, And the stars He sealeth up. Stretching out the heavens by Himself, And treading on the heights of the sea, Making Osh, Kesil, and Kimah, And the inner chambers of the south. Doing great things till there is no searching, And wonderful, till there is no numbering.
To Thee, O Jehovah, `is' the greatness, and the might, and the beauty, and the victory, and the honour, because of all in the heavens and in the earth; to Thee, O Jehovah, `is' the kingdom, and he who is lifting up himself over all for head; and the riches, and the honour `are' from before Thee, and Thou art ruling over all, and in Thy hand `is' power and might, and in Thy hand, to make great, and to give strength to all.

CHAPTER 25
THIRD SERIES.
Job 25:1-6. Bildad's Reply.
He tries to show Job's rashness (Job 23:3), by arguments borrowed from Eliphaz (Job 15:15, with which compare Job 11:17.
2. Power and terror, that is, terror-inspiring power.
peace in his high places—implying that His power is such on high as to quell all opposition, not merely there, but on earth also. The Holy Ghost here shadowed forth Gospel truths (Col 1:20; Eph 1:10).
3. armies—angels and stars (Isa 40:26; Jer 33:22; Ge 15:5; "countless," Da 7:10).
his light—(Jas 1:17).
4. (Job 4:17, 18; 14:4; 15:14).
5. "Look up even unto the moon" (Job 15:15). "Stars" here answer to "saints" (angels) there; "the moon" here to "the heavens" there. Even the "stars," the most dazzling object to man's eye, and the angels, of which the stars are emblems (Job 4:18; Re 9:1), are imperfect in His sight. Theirs is the light and purity but of creatures; His of the Creator.
6. (Job 4:19-21; 15:16).
worm … worm—Two distinct Hebrew words. The first, a worm bred in putridity; alluding to man's corruption. The second a crawling worm; implying that man is weak and grovelling.
