3 Israel doth wait on Jehovah, From henceforth, and unto the age!
Israel doth wait on Jehovah, For with Jehovah `is' kindness, And abundant with Him `is' redemption.
O the happiness of him Who hath the God of Jacob for his help, His hope `is' on Jehovah his God,
O Israel, trust in Jehovah, `Their help and their shield `is' He.' O house of Aaron, trust in Jehovah, `Their help and their shield `is' He.' Ye fearing Jehovah, trust in Jehovah, `Their help and their shield `is' He.'
And we, we bless Jah, From henceforth, and unto the age. Praise ye Jah!
Blessed `is' the man who trusteth in Jehovah, And whose confidence hath been Jehovah. And hath been as a tree planted by waters, And by a rivulet he sendeth forth his roots, And he doth not see when heat cometh, And his leaf hath been green, And in a year of dearth he is not sorrowful, Nor doth he cease from making fruit.

PSALM 131
Ps 131:1-3. This Psalm, while expressive of David's pious feelings on assuming the royal office, teaches the humble, submissive temper of a true child of God.
1. eyes lofty—a sign of pride (Ps 18:27).
exercise myself—literally, "walk in," or "meddle with."
2. Surely, &c.—The form is that of an oath or strongest assertion. Submission is denoted by the figure of a weaned child. As the child weaned by his mother from the breast, so I still the motions of pride in me (Mt 18:3, 4; Isa 11:8; 28:9). Hebrew children were often not weaned till three years old.
soul—may be taken for desire, which gives a more definite sense, though one included in the idea conveyed by the usual meaning, myself.
