1 By David. I confess Thee, with all my heart, Before the gods I do praise Thee.
Jesus answered them, `Is it not having been written in your law: I said, ye are gods? if them he did call gods unto whom the word of God came, (and the Writing is not able to be broken,) of him whom the Father did sanctify, and send to the world, do ye say -- Thou speakest evil, because I said, Son of God I am?
I confess Thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I honour Thy name to the age. For Thy kindness `is' great toward me, And Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.

It does not appear, nor is it material to enquire, upon what occasion David penned this psalm; but in it,
In singing this psalm we must in like manner devote ourselves to God's praise and glory and repose ourselves in his power and goodness.
