2 Jehovah hath made known His salvation, Before the eyes of the nations, He hath revealed His righteousness,
And now apart from law hath the righteousness of God been manifested, testified to by the law and the prophets, and the righteousness of God `is' through the faith of Jesus Christ to all, and upon all those believing, -- for there is no difference, for all did sin, and are come short of the glory of God -- being declared righteous freely by His grace through the redemption that `is' in Christ Jesus, whom God did set forth a mercy seat, through the faith in his blood, for the shewing forth of His righteousness, because of the passing over of the bygone sins in the forbearance of God -- for the shewing forth of His righteousness in the present time, for His being righteous, and declaring him righteous who `is' of the faith of Jesus.
for not knowing the righteousness of God, and their own righteousness seeking to establish, to the righteousness of God they did not submit. For Christ is an end of law for righteousness to every one who is believing,
and having come, He will convict the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment; concerning sin indeed, because they do not believe in me; and concerning righteousness, because unto my Father I go away, and no more do ye behold me;
because mine eyes did see Thy salvation, which Thou didst prepare before the face of all the peoples, a light to the uncovering of nations, and the glory of Thy people Israel.'
Declare ye, and bring near, Yea, they take counsel together, Who hath proclaimed this from of old? From that time hath declared it? Is it not I -- Jehovah? And there is no other god besides Me, A God righteous and saving, there is none save Me. Turn to Me, and be saved, all ends of the earth, For I `am' God, and there is none else. By Myself I have sworn, Gone out from my mouth in righteousness hath a word, And it turneth not back, That to Me, bow doth every knee, every tongue swear. Only in Jehovah, said hath one, Have I righteousness and strength, Unto Him he cometh in, And ashamed are all those displeased with Him. In Jehovah are all the seed of Israel justified, And they boast themselves.'

Commentary on Psalms 98 Commentary Critical and Explanatory on the Whole Bible
PSALM 98
Ps 98:1-9. In view of the wonders of grace and righteousness displayed in God's salvation, the whole creation is invited to unite in praise.
1. gotten … victory—literally, "made salvation," enabled Him to save His people.
right hand, and … arm—denote power.
holy arm—or, "arm of holiness," the power of His united moral perfections (Ps 22:3; 32:11).
2. salvation—the result of His righteousness (Ps 7:17; 31:1), and both are publicly displayed.
3. The union of mercy and truth (Ps 57:3; 85:10) secure the blessings of the promise (Ge 12:3; 18:18) to all the world (Isa 52:10).
4-6. make a loud noise—or, "burst forth" (Isa 14:7; 44:23).
before … King—hail Him as your sovereign; and while, with every aid to demonstrate zeal and joy, intelligent creatures are invited to praise, as in Ps 96:11-13, inanimate nature is also summoned to honor Him who triumphs and rules in righteousness and equity.
