Mark 6:21 - And G2532 when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, G2532 high captains, and G2532 chief estates of Galilee;
Mark 6:22 - And G2532 when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and G2532 danced, and G2532 pleased Herod and G2532 them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and G2532 I will give it thee.
Mark 6:23 - And G2532 he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.
Mark 6:25 - And G2532 she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist.
Mark 6:26 - And G2532 the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath's sake, and G2532 for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her.
Mark 6:27 - And G2532 immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
Mark 6:28 - And G2532 brought his head in a charger, and G2532 gave it to the damsel: and G2532 the damsel gave it to her mother.
Mark 6:29 - And G2532 when his disciples heard of it, they came and G2532 took up his corpse, and G2532 laid it in a tomb.
Mark 6:30 - And G2532 the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and G2532 told him all things, both G2532 what they had done, and G2532 what they had taught.
Mark 6:31 - And G2532 he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and G2532 rest a while: for there were many coming and G2532 going, and G2532 they had no leisure so much as to eat.
Mark 6:32 - And G2532 they departed into a desert place by ship privately.
Mark 6:33 - And G2532 the people saw them departing, and G2532 many knew him, and G2532 ran afoot thither out of all cities, and G2532 outwent them, and G2532 came together unto him.
Mark 6:34 - And G2532 Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and G2532 was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and G2532 he began to teach them many things.
Mark 6:35 - And G2532 when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and G2532 now the time is far passed:
Mark 6:36 - Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and G2532 into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.
Mark 6:37 - He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And G2532 they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and G2532 give them to eat?
Mark 6:38 - He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and G2532 see. And G2532 when they knew, they say, Five, and G2532 two fishes.
Mark 6:39 - And G2532 he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.
Mark 6:40 - And G2532 they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and G2532 by fifties.
Mark 6:41 - And G2532 when he had taken the five loaves and G2532 the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and G2532 brake the loaves, and G2532 gave them to his disciples to set before them; and G2532 the two fishes divided he among them all.
Mark 6:42 - And G2532 they did all eat, and G2532 were filled.
Mark 6:43 - And G2532 they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and G2532 of the fishes.
Mark 6:44 - And G2532 they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.
Mark 6:45 - And G2532 straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and G2532 to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.
Mark 6:46 - And G2532 when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.
Mark 6:47 - And G2532 when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and G2532 he alone on the land.
Mark 6:48 - And G2532 he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and G2532 about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and G2532 would have passed by them.
Mark 6:49 - But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and G2532 cried out:
Mark 6:50 - For they all saw him, and G2532 were troubled. And G2532 immediately he talked with them, and G2532 saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
Mark 6:51 - And G2532 he went up unto them into the ship; and G2532 the wind ceased: and G2532 they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and G2532 wondered.
Mark 6:53 - And G2532 when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and G2532 drew to the shore.
Mark 6:54 - And G2532 when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him,
Mark 6:56 - And G2532 whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and G2532 besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and G2532 as many as touched him were made whole.
Mark 7:1 - Then G2532 came together unto him the Pharisees, and G2532 certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.
Mark 7:2 - And G2532 when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.
Mark 7:3 - For the Pharisees, and G2532 all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.
Mark 7:4 - And G2532 when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And G2532 many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and G2532 pots, G2532 brasen vessels, and G2532 of tables.
Mark 7:5 - Then the Pharisees and G2532 scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?
Mark 7:8 - For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and G2532 cups: and G2532 many other such like things ye do.
Mark 7:9 - And G2532 he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
Mark 7:10 - For Moses said, Honour thy father and G2532 thy mother; and, G2532 Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
Mark 7:12 - And G2532 ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
Mark 7:13 - Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and G2532 many such like things do ye.
Mark 7:14 - And G2532 when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and G2532 understand:
Mark 7:17 - And G2532 when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
Mark 7:18 - And G2532 he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? G2532 Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
Mark 7:19 - Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and G2532 goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
Mark 7:23 - All these evil things come from within, and G2532 defile the man.
Mark 7:24 - And G2532 from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and G2532 Sidon, and G2532 entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but G2532 he could not be hid.
Mark 7:26 - The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and G2532 she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
