Ezra 10:2 - And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answered and said H559 unto Ezra, We have trespassed against our God, and have taken strange wives of the people of the land: yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thing.
Ezra 10:10 - And Ezra the priest stood up, and said H559 unto them, Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of Israel.
Ezra 10:12 - Then all the congregation answered and said H559 with a loud voice, As thou hast said, so must we do.
Nehemiah 1:3 - And they said H559 unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.

Nehemiah 2:4 - Then the king said H559 unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.
Nehemiah 2:5 - And I said H559 unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it.
Nehemiah 2:6 - And the king said H559 unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time.
Nehemiah 2:7 - Moreover I said H559 unto the king, If it please the king, let letters be given me to the governors beyond the river, that they may convey me over till I come into Judah;
Nehemiah 2:17 - Then said H559 I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach.
Nehemiah 2:18 - Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken H559 unto me. And they said, H559 Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.
Nehemiah 2:19 - But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn, and despised us, and said, H559 What is this thing that ye do? will ye rebel against the king?
Nehemiah 2:20 - Then answered I them, and said H559 unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.
Nehemiah 4:2 - And he spake H559 before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, H559 What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?
Nehemiah 4:3 - Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, H559 Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall.
Nehemiah 4:10 - And Judah said, H559 The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, and there is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall.
Nehemiah 4:11 - And our adversaries said, H559 They shall not know, neither see, till we come in the midst among them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease.
Nehemiah 4:12 - And it came to pass, that when the Jews which dwelt by them came, they said H559 unto us ten times, From all places whence ye shall return unto us they will be upon you.
Nehemiah 4:14 - And I looked, and rose up, and said H559 unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.
