Ruth 4:17 - And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, H559 There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
1 Samuel 1:8 - Then said H559 Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee than ten sons?

1 Samuel 3:8 - And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, H559 Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.
1 Samuel 3:9 - Therefore Eli said H559 unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, H559 Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
1 Samuel 3:10 - And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, H559 Speak; for thy servant heareth.
1 Samuel 3:11 - And the LORD said H559 to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.
1 Samuel 3:16 - Then Eli called Samuel, and said, H559 Samuel, my son. And he answered, H559 Here am I.
1 Samuel 3:17 - And he said, H559 What is the thing that the LORD hath said unto thee? I pray thee hide it not from me: God do so to thee, and more also, if thou hide any thing from me of all the things that he said unto thee.
1 Samuel 3:18 - And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, H559 It is the LORD: let him do what seemeth him good.
1 Samuel 4:3 - And when the people were come into the camp, the elders of Israel said, H559 Wherefore hath the LORD smitten us to day before the Philistines? Let us fetch the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of Shiloh unto us, that, when it cometh among us, it may save us out of the hand of our enemies.

1 Samuel 4:17 - And the messenger answered and said, H559 Israel is fled before the Philistines, and there hath been also a great slaughter among the people, and thy two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God is taken.
1 Samuel 4:21 - And she named the child Ichabod, saying, H559 The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband.
1 Samuel 4:22 - And she said, H559 The glory is departed from Israel: for the ark of God is taken.

1 Samuel 5:11 - So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, H559 Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there.
1 Samuel 6:2 - And the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners, saying, H559 What shall we do to the ark of the LORD? tell us wherewith we shall send it to his place.
1 Samuel 6:3 - And they said, H559 If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but in any wise return him a trespass offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.

1 Samuel 6:21 - And they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kirjathjearim, saying, H559 The Philistines have brought again the ark of the LORD; come ye down, and fetch it up to you.
1 Samuel 7:3 - And Samuel spake H559 unto all the house of Israel, saying, H559 If ye do return unto the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.
